Gangneung Olympic Park
Build for the 2018 Winter Olympics
The Gangneung Olympic Park was built for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Peyongchang (South Korea) included the following three new venues:
Gangneung Hockey Center – Ice hockey ($90 million US)
Gangneung Oval – Long track speed skating ($98 million US)
Gangneung Ice Arena – Short track speed skating, figure skating ($85 million US)
The sustainable subsequent use of these sports facilities has not yet been clarified, after all they will be used once for the 2024 Youth Olympic Games.
